In Key Stage 2, we aim for children to leave this phase with a more mature understanding of themselves, their ability and their role in our school and the wider community.
Key Stage 2 is such an important phase in your child’s development- both socially and academically. We find that children of this age group thrive on independence and responsibility; learning more about themselves and how they learn the best and becoming more independent learners who are open to challenge. Along with this comes a resilience that we promote to all children, showing them that perseverance pays off.
Real life learning is key to deepening children’s understanding and ensuring children engage with their learning, so the Application of the 6Cs as part of our thematic curriculum is very powerful in Years 3,4,5 and 6.
